About BBMTC

BBMTC has been producing top quality shows for over 35 years and we are proud to be recognized as one of the regions most renowned theatre companies. Until recently our shows were performed solely at Brownhills Community Theatre but in 2004 we took a major step and moved our October production to the Lichfield Garrick Theatre. Our first production was ‘42nd Street’ and we were overjoyed to be the first company to have a complete sell out at the Garrick Theatre; this level of support has continued with our subsequent productions! We are still happy to perform our spring shows, a colourful array of song and dance, at Brownhills Community Theatre.

We like to think of our company as one big happy family. At BBMTC we rehearse thoroughly to produce productions of the highest standard for our patrons but at the same time we have a great deal of fun both in rehearsals and at our many social events. We have a very strong group of talented people but we are always looking to recruit new members. Anyone who would like to consider joining us should either contact us or come along to a rehearsal one Friday evening; you will always be sure of a warm welcome.

Company rehearsals are held every Friday evening at 7.30pm at Brownhills Community Theatre, Deakin Avenue, Brownhills. Principal / dance rehearsals are held at the same time and venue on Monday evenings.
As a charitable trust, BBMTC are happy to help local organizations. Throughout the year we visit local churches giving concerts and, as well as raising money for good causes, concerts give our members the opportunity to sing for a new audience. If you would be interested in asking us to perform a concert for your organization, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Bruce Graham Award

The Bruce Graham award is presented to a member who has made an outstanding contribution to the society over the previous year.

Bruce Graham was Chairman and Producer of BBMTC for many years. He was a great thinker and a man of deep intellect who literally ate, drank and slept BBMTC. His style was to identify talent, nurture it and give it the freedom to flourish.

Bruce sadly passed away in 1992 but he ensured, through his legacy of talented, innovative and committed members, that his passing would serve as a launch pad for the next exciting phase of the company's development.

The company decided it would be a fitting tribute to a wonderful man to name this award after him; the Bruce Graham Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Company.

2005 Elizabeth Casey
